Green Beans and Peanut Butter and Pasta, Oh Pie!
cj went virtual for its second annual Second Harvest Food Bank food drive competition. The seven teams who were competing for the highly-coveted prize of homemade cinnamon rolls and cheesecake were able to make online donations—a $1 donation was equal to five cans of food.
The teams had two weeks to make their online donations and collect canned goods and, although it was close, the Production department won, defeating last year’s winner, the Media department.
Here’s how the cans stacked up:
- Total pounds of food collected: 329 lbs.
- Amount of money raised: $3,382.97
- Number of meals served: 13,795 meals
